Resignation

We would like to check when a staff tenders her resignation on 19/03/2012, her last day would be 30/01/12. During her serving of 2 weeks notice, she did not turn up for a few days (alternately) and she had no more annual leave left.

In this case, should we deduct 1 day or 2 day unpaid leaves (unpaid + salary in lieu) from her salary during her notice period?

Correction, I guess there is an typo on the last day of service. By the way, if staff absent during the notice period, company can deduct the salary for the number of day he/she gone absent and also take the necessary disciplinary action.
