Compassionate Leave Practices

May I ask about the market practice for compassionate leave?  Would the eligibility period begin on weekends/public holidays when the demise happens or only working days are counted?

Compassionate Leave is not mandatory and common market practice is from 3-5 days. Whether or not to treat at working days or calendar days is depending on the company policy.
