Calculation of Overtime with the Amendment of Act

We have factory operator salary SGD2,580 per month and he is entitled to overtime claims and meals & transport allowance. May I know for overtime claims, are we going to cap his base salary at SGD2,250?

Before the amendment of the Employment Act, non-workmen earning up to S$2,000 and workmen earning up to S$4,500 can claim overtime pay.

the salary threshold is only extended to non-workmen who earned up to S$2,500 in which the overtime rate payable for non-workmen will be capped at salary level of S$2,250. The cap is not applicable for your case.
